Follett Content is Back as an Approved Vendor for NYC School Libraries

BY FOLLETT CONTENT

New York City (NYC) school libraries operate at scale and benefit from partners who do the same. Follett Content is once again an approved vendor (#ECO004000), offering support that simplifies ordering while maintaining consistency, including:

  • Local, on-site support with experience assisting school libraries, including large and complex districts
  • Fast, simple ordering through FAMIS
  • Tools and workflows built for library needs, not adapted after the fact
  • Free shipping, helping maximize available funds

These elements are designed to support both day-to-day ordering and larger purchasing cycles, without introducing unnecessary complexity.

What This Partnership Means for NYC Schools

A strong, local partner can make a meaningful difference when it comes to library purchasing. Working with Follett Content allows NYC school libraries to receive:

  • 3.7 million in-stock books from more than 18,000 publishers and partners
  • A local, NYC-based library support team offering on-site service
  • Free shipping of your shelf-ready library books
  • White-glove service from a team of local professionals
  • Time-saving, curated collections to help you find the best books for specific needs
  • Fast delivery: in-stock books ship within five business days

Having an approved vendor ready to help ensures purchasing stays focused on collection goals rather than logistics.

Fast, Simple Ordering

Use titlewave.com or any Follett Content flyer/catalog to decide what you want to order, then place your order in FAMIS. Use our FAMIS Ordering Guide to order confidently with Follett Content.

To create a Follett Content (#ECO004000) purchase order in FAMIS, select Purchasing > Non-Contracted > Commodities > Sole Source. You’ll be asked to certify that you have a sole-source letter from Follett Content. If you don’t have a letter, send an email to orders@follettcontent.com to request an electronic version of the letter.

How to Get Started Before Mid-April

For 2026, Follett Content is approved and ready to support NYC school libraries with curated selections, ordering support, and streamlined fulfillment. Whether planning early or finalizing purchases, librarians can move forward with confidence knowing their vendor partner is already in place.
