“We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation. This contribution will make a significant impact on the lives of foster children in McHenry County. We appreciate Follett Content's commitment to our community and their dedication to helping children succeed," said Alicia Wehby, Executive Director of Kids in Need McHenry County.

Kids in Need McHenry County is dedicated to improving the lives of foster children by offering programs and services that address their unique needs. The donation from Edythe's Book Nook will help fund educational materials, clothing, and other necessities, ensuring that these children have the support they need to thrive.

"We are thrilled to support Kids in Need McHenry County and their incredible work with foster children," said Britten Follett, CEO of Follett Content. "Our team is committed to making a positive impact in our community, and we hope this donation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children."

Opened in November 2022, the purpose of the employee bookstore is to not only offer books to team members at discounted prices, but to use the proceeds from sales to support the local community. Edythe’s Book Nook  is named in honor of Edythe Benepe – great-great-grandmother to Britten Follett. She was a journalist for a Chicago newspaper when in 1901 she met and later married C.W. Follett, founder of Follett Corporation. The couple had four sons all the while Edythe worked full time running one of the Follett bookstores.
