How To Find and Download Free Educator Resources for PreK-12 Books


Did you know that many book publishers offer free downloadable teaching resources with their books? Examples of Free Teaching Resources
Free teaching resources are cost-free materials designed to help educators create engaging and effective lessons. These resources cater to various subjects, grade levels, and teaching styles.

How to Search for Free Resources from Follett Content


Whether you know the book you’re looking for or need expert recommendations, Follett Content offers two ways to find teaching resources:

1. Browse Recommended Lists

If you’re seeking recommendations, follow these steps:

  1. Visit follettcontent.com. Under “K12 Resources,” click “Browse Recommended Books Lists.”
  2. Select a topic.
  3. Filter by grade level.
  4. Look for books marked with "Resources Available.”
  5. Click a book to view its detail page and see available resources.
  6. Download the PDF(s) using the provided links.

2. Search Our Book Inventory with Titlewave

Titlewave® is a premier online platform for PreK-12 books and learning materials that offer book lists and school library collection analyses.

Basic Search:

  1. Go to Titlewave.
  2. Use the search bar to search for a specific book title, author, or keyword.
  3. Books with free teaching resources will display the note, “FREE Teaching Resources available for download.”
  4. Filter your results by selecting "FREE Resources" in the left column.
  5. On the book detail page, locate the "Teaching Resources and Support" section and download the materials.

Advanced Search (Available with a free Titlewave account):

  1. Click the "Advanced Search" link to the right of the search bar.
  2. Use the "FREE Resources" filter, and refine your search further by other criteria such as:
    • Publisher
    • Copyright Year
    • Language
    • Classification
    • Number of Reviews
    • Genre
  3. On the book detail page, locate the "Teaching Resources and Support" section and download the materials.
