United Way of Greater McHenry County honors Follett School Solutions with Trailblazer Award

BY DOUG THOMPSON

Follett School Solutions' United Way Committee members receive the 2019-20 Trailblazer Award from the United Way of Greater McHenry County.

The United Way of Greater McHenry County has presented its 2019-20 Trailblazer Award to Follett School Solutions in McHenry. The honor, virtually presented as part of the nonprofit organization's 2020 Campaign Awards, highlights a local company (or individual) that has helped raise the awareness of United Way to a whole new level.

"Follett has truly stepped up the past three years, growing its campaign from $4,000 to $40,000," said Carole Peters, executive director, United Way of Greater McHenry County. "From pop-up fundraisers offered at all shifts, to hosting team huddles about the valuable services available in our county, Follett diligently focuses on making a difference. They have chosen to do a dollar-for-dollar match of all money raised for United Way. They are blazing a trail for others to follow."
