MCHENRY, IL - Linda Semmler has been promoted to vice president of publisher relations and content & book fair merchandising for Follett School Solutions, the company announced today. With 25 years of experience, Semmler most recently served as vice president of product & merchandising for Book Fairs and eFairs for Follett.
Britten Follett, executive vice president of Follett School Solutions, said Semmler’s role with the company is expanding due to the success she has had driving Follett Book Fairs, which have been growing since debuting nearly four years ago.
“Our fairs are so popular with our customers due to the great products Linda and her team have brought to them,” Follett said. “We want to utilize her background and skills to create a unified experience for our publisher partners and get the best content in front of our customers across all of Follett.”
Semmler joined Follett in April 2017 as director of product and merchandising. Previously, she served in vice president positions for Imagination Playground, Reader’s Digest Publishing, Scholastic Book Fairs, and Store of Knowledge.
“As schools’ needs evolve as we emerge from the pandemic, Linda brings exceptional leadership skills and a wealth of experience partnering with publishers and content providers to connect students with the best books whether they are perusing their school library shelves, searching Destiny for ebooks or shopping a Follett Book Fair,” Follett said. “Linda’s love for books and strong teambuilding skills make her the perfect leader of our publisher relations team as we continue to refine and define the needs of our school customers.”
