Follett Expands Follett Book Fairs into Texas Market

Librarian:

Dallas, TX — Follett today announced Follett Book Fairs, which launched regionally at the beginning of the 2017-18 school year, will expand into Texas, effective August 2018. Nader Qaimari, Follett School Solutions’ President, made the announcement at the 2018 Texas Library Association (TLA) Annual Conference in Dallas, and said Follett Book Fairs will begin with PreK-8 schools in the Houston and Dallas areas.

“Since we introduced Follett Book Fairs last fall, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the reception we’ve received from our customers,” Qaimari said. “We’ve rebooked every school from our pilot program for another book fair. And with the expansion into the Dallas and Houston markets, where we have a great presence with our educational partners, we expect our customers there to be similarly excited.”

Kelley Valdez, library media specialist with Roanoke Elementary School near Dallas, said she will welcome Follett Book Fairs with open arms.

“Ten years ago, as a first-year librarian, Follett was my saving grace,” Valdez said. “I was provided amazing customer service by both our local sales representative and Follett’s phone customer support staff. They took a situation that had almost brought me to tears and turned it around within a matter of hours. As a result, I almost exclusively purchase through Follett for my campus book needs.

“And I am so excited to see Follett enter the book fair market. I know its service will be outstanding and the materials will support my students’ reading needs.”

Because of its existing partnerships with thousands of publishers, Follett Book Fairs are able to offer a vast selection of books for early education, elementary, and middle school students. Moreover, Follett encourages participating schools to be closely involved with product selection, allowing for customization for their unique needs and demographics.
