MCHENRY, Ill., May 14, 2024 — To support educators, Follett Content – a longtime literacy and school librarian advocate – announced today it will re-introduce online book fundraisers later this year, leveling the playing field and extending benefits to educators and students alike.
Follett Book eFairs will be offered to all PreK-8 schools in the United States and have no minimum sales requirements, extending reach and accessibility. As an added benefit, for every dollar an online book fundraiser earns, schools will receive a percentange back in Titlewave credit that can be used to buy books to enhance both school and classroom libraries.
“For our school library, we have two in-person book fairs every year that are a very important part of the funding that supports our library program,” said Shannon Miller, director of innovation of instructional technology and library media at Van Meter School in Iowa. “With the addition of Follett Book eFairs, we can also have an online book fair at different times of the year to increase the funding we bring to our library, while supporting our readers, families and communities in a variety of ways. I am so excited that Follett Book eFairs are back!”
Requiring only five minutes to set up, the online book fairs will feature a wide selection of affordable, physical books, with hundreds of new releases and popular fiction and nonfiction titles from leading PreK-8 publishers.
“Our online book fairs will give students an opportunity to select genres, authors and topics they are passionate about,” said Britten Follett, CEO, Follett Content. “Their time spent reading, motivation, and engagement all increase when given a choice in what they read for pleasure.”
Educators wishing to be the first to know when Follett Book eFairs are available to schedule, or for more information, can visit www.follettcontent.com/book-efairs.
