Upper Elementary/Middle SchoolI’ve devoured series books for as long as I can remember – with Nancy Drew, The Baby-Sitters Club, and Sweet Valley High fueling enough Book It pizzas to feed a small village, and Accelerated Reader points so abundant I had plenty to share with my entire class. AdultAs an adult, Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series made me laugh out loud on airplanes in a way that earned more than a few sideways glances. David Baldacci’s Memory Man series, featuring Amos Decker, pulled me into the kind of propulsive, can’t-put-it-down thriller I enjoyed in both print and audiobook format. And Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street series gave me the cozy, character-driven comfort read I didn’t know I needed – the literary equivalent of a blanket and a fireplace.

These days, my TBR pile is a bit overdue – I’m holding out for time to read print editions of Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets and Suzanne Collins’ Sunrise on the Reaping, because some books deserve to be held in your hands. But between my full-time job at Follett Content and my full-time job managing a toddler, sitting down to read a print book is tough!
